Horton named Marianna High School Valedictorian

Graceville resident Tim Horton has been named the Marianna High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian. Horton is son of Rick Horton and the grandson of Elton and Louise Horton. Out of the 169 graduates at Marianna, Horton was named the top academic student with a GPA of 4.79.

While at Marianna High School, Tim not only excelled academically but he also kept a full schedule of extra-curricular activities. He is a member of the Senior Beta Club, National Honor Society, and Anchor. He also enjoyed volleyball and helped coach, along with tutoring and taking piano lessons throughout his high school career.

Horton’s future plans include attending the University of Florida this Fall where he plans to pursue a career in the Medical Field.
