A lifelong resident of Jackson County and a graduate of its public schools, Christopher is deeply committed to maintaining strong educational standards while addressing the financial challenges facing our district. He believes every student deserves access to opportunity, support, and a quality education.

Christopher has lived in Jackson County for 51 years and has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for the past 29 years. Together, they have been blessed with two children, Caroline and Chandler. Both his wife and children attended Graceville School. This personal connection gives Christopher a deep understanding of the importance of strong public schools for local families.

Christopher attended Golson Elementary, Riverside Elementary, Marianna Middle School, and graduated from Marianna High School. He continued his education at Chipola College in Marianna, where he received an Associates of Arts degree, and later attended Troy University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Thereafter, he completed a Master of Business Administration degree at Troy University.

For over eighteen years, Christopher has worked in different positions at the Baptist University of Florida. He currently serves as the Vice President of Business Administration for the University. During his career there, he has also served as the Director of Operation and Comptroller. In these roles, he has been responsible for ensuring audit and budget compliance, maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard assets, and ensuring the reliability of financial statements. He has overseen a variety of operations, such as the business office, information technology, maintenance, and the food service department.

In addition to his work in higher education, Christopher has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than twenty-six years. Through this experience, he has provided financial and accounting services to governmental, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations.

Christopher’s commitment to Jackson County extends beyond his professional career through active community involvement and service. Christopher was a founding board member and served as the treasurer of the Jackson County Education Foundation for over a decade. The Jackson County Education Foundation helps fund educational opportunities throughout the district. His commitment to local schools is further demonstrated by his service as a board member, president, and treasurer for both the Graceville High Band Boosters and the Graceville Elementary School PTO. In addition, Christopher was a member and an officer of the Graceville Kiwanis Club for over a decade. During his time with the Kiwanis Club, the organization raised scholarship funds for local students, sponsored local students to go to Key Club State Convention, and raised funds for purchasing replacement band instruments at Graceville School. Christopher currently serves on the City of Graceville Planning Commission. He is also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graceville, where he has served as the Finance Committee Chairman and Trustee. Through these organizations, he has remained dedicated to strengthening the community and investing in the success of the future.

Christopher believes the Jackson County School District must remain focused on student success while exercising responsible financial management. He is committed to ensuring that money is managed effectively, supporting teachers and staff, and providing students with opportunities for success, both in the classroom and beyond.
