Fruit and Vegetable Conference begins at end of January

Fruit and vegetable growers acros the Florida Panhandle, southern Alabama, and Georgia, are invited to attend the 2024 Tri-State Fruit & Vegetable Annual Conference. This conference will be held Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, ad the UF/IFAS Jackson County Extension Office (2741 Penn Ave, Marianna, FL 32448). Registration for this event starts at 7:30 am (CST), with the conference to begin at 8:00 am.

UF/IFAS Extension takes pride in hosting events for our stakeholders to ensure they are provided with the necessary infromation and research to to have a successful growing season. This event will focus on fruit and vegetable production of the tri-state area. Topics this year will include ways to improve irrigation schedules, programs through USDA that aid fruit and vegetable growers, new data on cucurbit crops and variety tolerances to insect transmitted dieases, agriculture labor trends, and more. Growers will have the opportunity to earn pesticide CEU credits with their attendance.

Admission is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required to guarantee your lunch will be included. Day-of registrations will be accepted if space is available.
