Graceville Lady Tigers caged the Marianna bulldogs on Monday, January 8 at an in-school game at Graceville taking the win 61 to 28. The team is currently riding on a 12-1 win/loss record and is showing masterful play and high energy every time they are on the court.
The Lady Tigers hit a snag in their undefeated season with their first loss of the season against Rutherford on December 14 with a score of 72 to 47. Graceville’s orange and black didn’t allow that to push their confidence coming out in following games with renewed energy and the desire to win.
The team began its next win streak at the following game on December 19 when they traveled to Geneva to take on the Lady Panthers. While it was a catfight until the end, Graceville came out victorious with a score of 46 to 43. Two days later the team took on Lake Oconee Academy earning another win with a final score 45 to 43.
As 2024 starts, the Lady Tigers have caused their fans a little less sideline worry as the team has dominated the court in the new year. The team started 2024 taking on Cottonwood and earning a win with a final score of 56 to 45. That was followed by Monday’s game against Marianna where the Lady Tigers slaughtered their fellow Jackson County team.
The season will continue on for Graceville tonight, January 11 with the Lady Tigers traveling to Poplar Springs to take on the Lady Atomics on January 16.
