A new business with some familiar faces will be opening its doors this week. Father/daughter duo Alan and Payton Henderson will be hosting a Grand Opening for AP Home Furniture & More Thursday, January 16. At the location previously known as Badcock Home Furniture & More, the Henderson family chose to take the tragic ending of the Badcock company and turn into something positive a newly branded hometown furniture store.
Owner Alan Henderson had taken over the location just a few short years ago from local businessman Terry Allen. Then last Fall, the Henderson family received the news that the Badcock company would be closing all stores. Alan faced a new dilemma but instead of closing up shop he chose to rebrand. When asked why, Henderson commented, “I decided to continue in the furniture business because there is a need in this community. Badcock was such a staple for not only Graceville but for so many towns and cities surrounding us. The closest furniture and appliance stores now are a minimum of 30 minutes away. Our store AP’s will be a central place for hometown customers who maybe aren’t able to make those long trips or who are needing something quickly. We want to be a hub for customers to find the hometown feel and customer service that goes above and beyond, that larger companies are lacking.”

Pulling the name from family, Henderson commented, “The name AP’s comes from my name, Alan, and my oldest daughter’s name, Payton. The long-term goal has always been for Payton to one day continue this legacy as her own. Until then we are working side by side as a father-daughter family-owned business.”
The official Grand Opening date is January 16th, 2025. There will also be a Ribbon Cutting at 3:30 that same day. The store’s business hours will be Monday - Saturday 8am- 5 pm with Henderson commenting, “We are fully stocked with furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, accent pieces, and more. Additionally, we are stocked with appliances. We are thrilled to be able to offer financing for our customers. We desire to bring the same convenience and variety that we had before the switch. We look to expand inventory even more as we grow. Be sure to regularly check our Facebook page for updates and specials we will offer.” He finished, “God has blessed us with this opportunity to serve our community. We are so thankful for his grace and for the loyalty of our customers. We truly have the best customers around!”
