Pittman family hosts three-day celebration

James Earl Pittman and Rebecca Richardson Pittman celebrated his birthday and 68 years of Holy matrimony. James's birthday and our anniversary is July 14, 2024. The couple’s children planned three full days of celebration starting with a fish fry for family and friends on Friday, July 12, 2024. Lots of FUN!

On Saturday, July 13, the family had a formal dinner with approximately 90 family and friends at the Doubletree Hotel Banquet Room in Dothan, Alabama. This occasion was planned by the couple’s five children and spouses: Phyllis and Napoleon Pittman, Quentin and Kimberly Pittman, Foy and Susan Pittman, Aletha and Mitchell Robinson, and Zerryl and Richard Bernard. The couple also has 13 Grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

The celebration continued on Sunday, July 14 with morning worship at ST. John AME Church located at 2199 AME Road in Campbellton, FL with the Rev. Linda Ellis as pastor. The Pittman Family was in charge of the Worship Service. The couple’s oldest daughter was the Messenger, Dr. of Ministry Phyllis Pittman. The service was spiritually enjoyed by all. Family Pictures were captured, and dinner was served in the dining room after the Doxology.

Monday, July 15 finished off the festivities with some family heading home others heading to Panama City Beach.
