Cut-N-Dye Salon is one of the businesses in Graceville that has relocated recently. Owner Marie Rustin recently moved the establishment from the Vanity Fair Outlet area on the South end of town to the new location at 5428 Cotton Street, next to Moss Road Performance.
Cut-N-Dye currently has three beauticians available to personalize anyone’s style. Owner Marie Rustin has been licensed to beautify people “for thirteen years.” Rustin currently does hair, extensions, and microblading. Samantha Rustin has been professionally creating personal flair for two colorful years. She specializes in manicures, pedicures, and hair. Samantha is also currently working on getting certified in facials. Bria Speight has been professionally beautifying for two glamorous years as well. Bria specializes in textured hair, braiding, and styling. She is also currently working on getting her certificate for lash extensions.
It’s no secret that the Covid pandemic had a huge effect on the economy, especially on restaurants and beauty salons. When asked how she managed to survive and thrive in such a challenging time, Marie gave all the credit to the community. Further explaining that she “has so many loyal customers” that have taken care of her. She also added she was “blessed” with a landlord that generously decided to waiver her rent during the “three months” when she was required to close her doors during the pandemic.
As an expression of gratitude, Marie noted that she cut her prices to help soften the blow of the economic downturn, passing her blessing on to her client. A consideration that makes it clear that the staff at Cut-N-Dye care about the people that they serve and their place in the community.
