McKinnie announces bid for re-election as Jackson County District 1 Commissioner

Alex B. McKinnie elected 2020 represents the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners District 1.

McKinnie is married to Joyce G. McKinnie with one adult son Rashard McKinnie. McKinnie is of the Methodist faith and a member of New Bethel C.M.E. Church in Campbellton, Florida.

Lifelong resident of Campbellton, Florida and 1982 graduate of Graceville High School. McKinnie in 1986 earned an Associate degree in electronics in Tampa, Florida, an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science at Jefferson State College Birmingham, Alabama and in 1992 earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Management at Troy State Dothan, Alabama.

McKinnie has specialized in electronics for over 36 years; currently the last 23 years devoted to the United States Army as a defense contractor.

McKinnie served the Town of Campbellton for 10 years as a councilman, working on projects such as recreational, economic development and infrastructure.

McKinnie is affiliated with numerous civic and nonprofit organizations. He credits his accomplishments and achievements to his faith in God and his parents who taught him the value of hard work and the importance of treating everyone with respect.

He is co-owner of McKinnie Funeral Home, LLC and McKinnie Funeral Home Inc. If re-elected my vision “Working For You” moving Jackson County forward to continue with promoting growth such as affordable housing, broadband access, improving our roads, balancing budgets, encourages economic development, recruitment of industries and to maintain and promote safety and welfare for our citizens via sheriff and ambulance services. I will continue to be a commissioner for all the people with an open door policy to ensure your concerns are a top priority.
