Roots and Wings: Local family speaks on graduates spreading their wings in the US Air Force

After graduation, many young adults go on to college or trade school to build a career. Some follow in their parent’s footsteps while others forge forward in uncharted territory. For 2022 Poplar Springs graduates twin siblings Laiken and Landon King, they chose a path that was less likely to be considered in the current social and political environment. The twins chose to join the Air Force, leaving the comfort of their small hometown just two weeks after they graduated high school.
